Chris Coad

Chris Coad is a highly experienced commercial photographer specialising in film stills, advertising and editorial photography since the 90’s.
He has worked on many well-known international and New Zealand feature films and has received numerous professional photography awards including a New Zealand Film and Television award for work on the Peter Jackson film Forgotten Silver. In 2000/2001, he shot stills
on the Lord of the Rings film trilogy. He has worked on many local features, shorts, TVC’s, television series and corporate productions. He shoots silently on set.
Chris has a Bachelor of Applied Art in photography and is a skilled retoucher in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom, and a specialist in PanoTools Graphic User Interface (PTGui). He is able to produce ultra hi res 360˙HDRi virtual environments for CGI use and can post- produce stills to match the production grade. He is also a specialist in creating stills images to match a certain era or “look”.
Chris is based in Miramar, Wellington, New Zealand.
