Writing music to tell stories is my passion and life’s pursuit. I love scoring film because it requires you to dream outside the realm of the known, to immerse yourself fully in a moment or character, and seek out a story’s beating heart; that unique thing that makes it important to tell.
Recently I have had the pleasure of working on cinematic score to two major exhibitions with Weta Workshops; Gallipoli: The Scale of Our War – a heart rending journey through a hellish corner of WW1, featuring magnificent performances by the NZSO – and Bug Lab – an alien fantastical world of giant bugs with an evolving soundscape of insectile electronica.
I have had the pleasure of working with a range of local and international film directors and received awards including Best Original Score:Drama and Best Sound Design:Drama at LA Webfest 2016, Best Sound Design at LAIFF August 2016, Best Original Score at 48hours 2015, and Park Road Post Sound Designer of the Year 2013+2014.
